'The Thing Worn'
Printed silk, cotton shirt
This Kimono represents the origins of the Hitachi Corporation. The materials and design represent the staff, the 'fabric' of the company. Their collaboration of skills, old and new. Also reflecting the immediate surroundings, London Bridge and it's rich history in the cloth trade.

 Participants offered up and exchanged a 6x6cm square of material from their personal belongings. Each piece was 'worked on' and replaced the original square.
